Here’s everything that you can get with your Vivint security system
Unlike most home security companies, Vivint’s smart home offerings are available to renters. Here are some of the more in demand components and services:
Burglary prevention
Burglar alarms and glass break sensors can notify you when an uninvited guest comes into your rental unit. Receive a notification to your mobile device as an sensor triggers, or manage your devices remotely so you can let in maintenance or guests when you’re not home.
Fire and safety detectors
Smoke detectors usually come standard with your rental, but not other CO or water detectors. Hang a wireless carbon monoxide alarm or flood sensor to alert you and the monitoring agents to problems before it’s too late.
Security cameras
A security cameras may be wirelessly put up so you can keep an eye on indoor rooms. A doorbell camera gives you the option to watch -- and talk to -- guests at the door. Get real-time HD feeds and alerts about suspicious movement through the Vivint App.
Round-the-clock monitoring
A great benefit of using Vivint is the monitoring team that respond to tripped alarms. If a component goes off, your monitoring experts quickly calls you to make sure you’re secure. Then they’ll turn around and phone the fire or police departments.
Home automation devices
Smart devices, like smart bulbs, can be put in to make your rental home or apartment more energy-efficient. Some devices like a replacement smart thermostat or smart door locks may need prior landlord approval.
